Note:
Economic dependency ratio, index of economic burden – a number of persons aged 0 – 14 and 65+ compared to a number of persons aged 15 – 64 * 100.
Young age dependency ratio, child dependency ratio – a number of persons aged 0 – 14 compared to a number of persons aged 15 – 64 * 100.
Old age dependency ratio, aged dependency ratio – a number of persons aged 65+ compared to a number of persons aged 15 – 64 * 100.
Ageing index – a number of persons aged 65+ compared to a number of persons aged 0 – 14 * 100.
Median age – the age that divides the population into two equal-sized parts (a half with a younger age and a half with an older age than the median).
Mean age – the weighted arithmetic mean of the number of the years lived by members of a given population till a specified point in time. It is an average age of living population.
Pre-productive age – 0 – 14 years.
Productive age – 15 – 64 years.
Post-productive age – 65+ years.
